Twin Cities Youth Theatre Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") operates this website, MSP Youth Show Calendar, to help families, students, and theatre organizations discover and share information about youth theatre performances in the Twin Cities.
What we collect
When you create an account, submit a show, or submit a theatre listing, we collect the information you provide — your name, email address, and any details about the show or theatre. If you create a password-based account, we store a securely hashed version of your password; we never store your password in plain text. If you sign in with Google instead, we receive your name and email address from Google — we never see your Google password.
What we count
We measure site usage in two ways:
Vercel Web Analytics counts visits to each page without cookies and without building a profile of you — visits are aggregated, and we cannot identify an individual visitor.
Google Analytics also measures traffic to this site — which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are located, and what device or browser they're using. Unlike Vercel's analytics, Google Analytics does use cookies. We use this data in aggregate to understand how the calendar is used; we don't use it to identify or track individual people across other sites.
We set no advertising cookies, run no ad network, and don't sell any data.
How we use your information
We use your information to operate the calendar, communicate with you about your submissions, and manage your account. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties beyond the service providers listed below.
Third-party services
We use the following services to operate this site:
- Sanity stores show, theatre, and account information. Their privacy policy is available at sanity.io/legal/privacy.
- Resend delivers login links, submission confirmations, and account-related emails. Their privacy policy is available at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- Google provides optional sign-in (OAuth), Google Analytics as described above, and hosts the Gmail account we use to correspond with you directly. Their privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Vercel hosts this website and provides the cookieless page-view counts described above. Their privacy policy is available at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Data retention
By default, we retain your account and submission information unless you explicitly ask us to delete the data. To delete your account or data associated with you, contact us at twincitiesyouththeatre@gmail.com. If you signed in with Google, you can also revoke the connection from your Google account settings at any time.
Your rights
You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, or request its deletion, by emailing us at twincitiesyouththeatre@gmail.com.
Public listings and mentions of individuals
Show and theatre listings on this calendar are public by design. Once a show or theatre listing is published, its title, company or school name, description, venue, performance dates, and any ticket or show-info links are visible to anyone who visits the site, without needing an account or login.
Listings are submitted by theatres, schools, and community members — not written or reviewed by us for accuracy before publication — and may mention specific performers, directors, or other individuals by name as part of that content. We aren't responsible for information about specific people that a submitter chooses to include in a listing. If a listing mentions you or someone else and you'd like it addressed, click "Report this listing" on the show or theatre page, or email us at twincitiesyouththeatre@gmail.com, and we'll review the request.
We do not publish the personal email address or other contact information of the person who submitted a listing — only the show or theatre information itself.
Youth under 13
We do not knowingly collect account information from children under 13. Show and theatre listings may reference youth performers as part of publicly submitted show information — that's public information about a performance, not personal data collected by us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
